7 Piece!!! Wedding Ensemble, Worn by Mrs. Claude A Dundores on February 23rd 1893
I purchased this ensemble from a relative of the original owner (it was kept in the family since the 1800's and well loved and stored properly!). The bodice was a bit smaller than the dress form and I did not want to stress the fabric so I photographed it with the front open.
7 Items included in this ensemble: Ivory Silk Bodice, Skirt, Nightgown, Wool Embroidered Petticoat, Silk Shoes, Waist Cincher, Stockings
Condition of the ensemble is excellent with little wear and no stains or tears to the fabrics. Some wear to the shoes, however in very good condition overall.
The bodice measures:
Waist: 22 1/2 inches
Bust: 32 inches
Shoulder to Shoulder: 12 1/2 inches
The Skirt measures:
Waist 22 inches (can be taken out)
Length (center front, waistband to hem): 41 inches
When I was a little girl I fell in love with Victorian cage crinolines. Growing up that love became a passion for beautiful antique fashions, textiles and accessories. That passion has enabled me to bring you some of the finest historic fashions available on the market today. Collecting antique and vintage clothing is kind to the earth and a tangible investment option you can enjoy on a daily basis. Appreciated by all ages and cultures it offers a wonderful connection to history, revealing how people lived. The attention to detail in the construction of these intricate garments and accessories is remarkable. There is significant value in owning quality antique garments and it is my pleasure to make them available to you.
